Shanaz Ahmed MBE

Shanaz Ahmed graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the London School of Economics and went to complete her Law Society Final exams at the College of Law ( London ). She went on to complete her training with one the largest and notable firms in the East End , TV Edwards, qualifying in 1995. On qualifying she chose to specialise in family law and since setting up the firm, she has become a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. Shanaz is also a trained mediator in all aspects of family work.

Shanaz maintains a healthy balance between her professional and personal life, having to maintain the challenges of being the Senior Partner and brining up three young children. Shanaz has been involved in various voluntary organisations and has been a member of the Management Committee for Newham Asian Women’s Project and the East London Asian Family Counseling Service. She was also a Non-Executive Director of the East London and City Health Authority.

Shanaz was conferred a MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honour’s List for services to the Asian community in East London and continues to be involved in numerous voluntary organisations in East London.
